Cabbage Pudding

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and pour it over the cabbage head.

  2. Cover the cabbage until you can carefully turn back the leaves.

  3. Remove some inner leaves and chop them finely.

  4. Mix the chopped leaves with the rich forcemeat.

  5. Stuff the mixture back into the cabbage and replace the leaves to confine the stuffing.

  6. Tie the cabbage in a cloth and boil it until cooked through.

  7. Serve the cabbage whole with melted butter drizzled on top.
