Apples and Rice

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Pare and core the apples.

  2. Place the apples in a baking dish.

  3. Fill the holes in the apples with chopped raisins and sugar.

  4. Fill the spaces between the apples with rice that has been boiled for 15 minutes.

  5. Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.

  6. Remove the cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

  7. Serve hot with cream.
