Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Slice off the outer crust of the buns and cut out the center to make a cup.

  2. Brush the cups with melted butter and place them in a 400°F (200°C) oven to dry and brown.

  3. Remove the cores from the apples and fill the centers with butter and sugar.

  4. Place the filled apple in the bun cup and serve with whipped cream.
