What each ingredient does

Scarlet strawberries
Provide the main fruit flavour and aroma for the water.
Syrup
Adds sweetness and carries the strawberry flavour through the infusion.

The step that matters

Strain without pressure. Pressing the jelly bag forces cloudy pulp and fine solids through, which clouds the water. Letting it drip keeps the liquid clear.
