Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Chop the cold roast meat into thin slices, about 1 inch across.

  2. Season the meat well.

  3. Pour enough wine and gravy over the meat to moisten it.

  4. Place the seasoned meat in a baking dish and top with bread crumbs.

  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through and the top is golden brown.
