Ham Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Pepper the slices of cold boiled ham well.

  2. Toss the cut-up fowl in butter until it begins to brown.

  3. Line a dish with pie crust and layer in the ham and fowl.

  4. Fill the spaces with the yolks of hard-boiled eggs.

  5. Add mushroom powder and sprinkle in spices.

  6. Cover with a layer of ham and pour in gravy.

  7. Place a top crust on the pie and bake for 1.5 hours at 350°F (175°C).
