Ingredients

Directions

  1. Boil the potatoes in 3 quarts of water and strain through a colander.

  2. Boil the hops in 1 quart of water for 10 minutes and strain over the potatoes.

  3. Add the salt, sugar, and ginger to the potato mixture.

  4. If the mixture is less than 5 quarts, add enough tepid water to reach that amount.

  5. When lukewarm, add the home-brewed yeast and mix thoroughly.

  6. Cover the vessel and let it stand in a warm place until bubbles form on the surface.

  7. Once bubbly, cover and store in a dry, cool place.
