Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Peaches
Provide the main fruit flavor and aroma, and juice for the syrup.
Powdered sugar
Adds sweetness and softens the texture of the frozen ice cream.
Eggs
Add richness and help give the custard body and structure.
Milk
Forms the liquid base that carries the flavors and dissolves the sugar.
Cream
Adds fat, which makes the frozen ice cream smooth and creamy.

The step that matters

Freezing with ice and salt. The ice and salt in the freezer must stay cold so the mixture freezes evenly. Salt lowers the temperature of the ice, and cold, steady freezing keeps ice crystals small, giving a smoother texture.
