What each ingredient does

Blue label cheese
Provides the main body and rich flavor of the salad.
Mayonnaise
Adds moisture and richness, binding the cheese into a smooth mixture.
Whipping cream
Adds airy volume and a creamy texture once frozen.
Pineapple
Contributes sweetness and fruity moisture that lightens the richness.

The step that matters

Folding in the whipped cream. Whipped cream traps air that gives the frozen salad its light texture. Stirring it too vigorously or letting it deflate before folding leads to a dense, heavy result.

Swap the pineapple

How well each one fits the dish's main ingredients (cheese, cream, olive):

  1. Avocadofits better
  2. Strawberryfits better
  3. Figfits better
  4. Pineapplethe original

Fit is the average pairing score against cheese, cream, olive. Candidates are from the same food group and used in at least 100 recipes.
