Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Prepare the loaf

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, sweet milk, and suet or butter.

  3. Season with pepper, coarse sea salt, and sage to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Bake

  1. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and bake until it leaves the sides of the pan.
