Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Layer the boiled fish in a pie dish.

  2. Add a layer of mashed potatoes.

  3. Slice the hard boiled eggs into rings and add a layer.

  4. Repeat the layers until the dish is full.

  5. Cover with a pie crust.

  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.

Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
