Macaroni Cheese

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Cook the macaroni until soft, then drain.

  2. In a square dish, layer the macaroni with butter, grated cheese, mustard, and black pepper.

  3. Add plenty of grated cheese on top.

  4. Barely cover the layers with milk.

  5. Bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven until golden brown.

  6. Serve very hot.
