To Roast a Turkey

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Stuff the turkey breast with real stuffing and a little sausage, then sew up the neck.

  2. Cover the breast with buttered paper to prevent scorching.

  3. Roast the turkey until it is a fine brown, about 1.5 to 2 hours.

  4. Baste well during roasting.

  5. Remove the paper a little while before it is done to allow the breast to brown.

  6. Serve with plenty of good gravy and garnish with lemon, alongside bread sauce.
