  • 1 quart of milk
  • 3 ounces of loaf sugar
  • 1 inch stick of cinnamon or peel of 1/4 lemon
  • 4 tablespoons of corn-starch

Directions

1

In a saucepan, combine 1 quart of milk, 3 ounces of loaf sugar, and 1 inch of cinnamon or the peel of 1/4 lemon for flavor.

2

Heat the saucepan over medium heat until the milk boils.

3

In a bowl, mix 4 tablespoons of corn-starch with 1 tablespoon of cold milk until smooth.

4

Once the milk is boiling, quickly stir in the corn-starch mixture and let it boil for 2 minutes, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

5

Rinse a quart basin or mold with cold water.

6

Remove the cinnamon or lemon peel from the mixture, then pour the corn-starch mixture into the basin and set aside to cool.

7

Once cooled, turn it out onto a dish and serve.
