Puffs of Preserved Fruit
Ingredients
Directions
The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.
Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of ¼ inch.
Cut the pastry into 4-inch squares.
Place a small amount of jam on each square.
Fold the squares over and cut them into squares, triangles, or half moons using a tin cutter.
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Ice the pastries and bake for about 20 minutes at 400°F (200°C), being careful not to color the icing.
Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
