Broiled Tomatoes

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Cut the tomatoes into thick slices.

  2. Dust each slice with coarse sea salt and black pepper.

  3. Place the slices in a greased broiler.

  4. Broil over moderate heat (350°F / 175°C).

  5. Sprinkle each slice with minced onion and Chili pepper.

  6. Pour melted butter over the tomatoes before serving.
