Cheese Pudding

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Assemble

  1. Cover the bottom of a porcelain dish with bread crumbs.

  2. Layer cheese pieces on top, followed by more bread crumbs and cheese until the dish is filled. Ensure the last layer is cheese.

Make the custard

  1. Beat the egg in a large cup. Fill the cup with milk. Add salt.

  2. Pour the mixture over the bread and cheese layers.

Bake

  1. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
