To Make Coffee
Ingredients
Directions
Scald the coffee pot.
Add 2 teaspoons of freshly ground coffee for each ½ cup of boiling water.

What each ingredient does
- Freshly ground coffee
- Provides the main flavour, aroma and colour of the brew.
- Boiling water
- Extracts flavour and aroma from the ground coffee as it steeps.
The step that matters
Keep the coffee from boiling. Boiling over-extracts the grounds, pulling out bitter compounds and producing a harsh, burnt-tasting coffee instead of a smooth one.
