Fine Chopped Ham

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point. The book gives no cooking times either; the times in the steps were added in transcription, so check for doneness rather than trusting the clock.

  1. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.

  3. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until thickened.

  5. Remove from heat and mix in the bread crumbs, eggs, ham, and paprika.

  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
