Rissoles, Sweet

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Roll out the pastry and cut it into small rounds.

  2. Place a spoonful of jam or marmalade in the center of each round.

  3. Cover with another round of pastry and press the edges securely.

  4. Brush the tops with beaten egg.

  5. Add a small ring of pastry on top and brush with egg again.

  6. Bake on a baking tray in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes.

  7. Once set, remove from the oven and sift powdered sugar over them.

  8. Return to the oven for a few more minutes.

  9. Serve on a neatly folded napkin.
