Foe Goose and Pork

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel, core, and quarter the apples.

  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water in equal quantities; for 10 apples, use ¾ cup of each.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, removing any scum that forms.

  4. Add the apples, cover, and boil until tender.

  5. Serve the apples in quarters or mash them using a potato ricer.

  6. In a separate pot, combine the brown tomato sauce with the sliced mushrooms.
