Ingredients

Directions

  1. Trim and wash the red cabbage, removing the center and turning the outer leaves down gracefully.

  2. Soak the cabbage and celery in ice water for 2 hours.

  3. Make the mayonnaise by mixing oil or a cooked dressing with mustard.

  4. Drain and dry the cabbage and celery, then shred the peppers.

  5. Mix the white cabbage, celery, and peppers with the mayonnaise dressing.

  6. Fill the hollowed red cabbage with the mixture, leaving space for the red cabbage mixture.

  7. Combine the red cabbage with mayonnaise, olives, pickles, parsley, and chives.

  8. Fill the well in the red cabbage with the red mixture and garnish with a caper.
