Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Egg white
Whipped into the mixture to add a light, airy texture to the frozen punch.
Sugar
Adds sweetness and softens the texture of the frozen mixture.
Orange and lemon juice
Adds acidity and bright citrus flavour that balances the sugar.

The step that matters

Fold in the egg white before the mixture is completely frozen. If the mixture is already fully frozen, the beaten egg white cannot blend in evenly, so it stays in lumps instead of lightening the texture.

Swap the orange

How well each one fits the dish's main ingredients (tea, lemon, sugar, egg, cream):

  1. Vanillafits better
  2. Orangethe original
  3. Raspberryfits about as well
  4. Peachfits less well

Fit is the average pairing score against tea, lemon, sugar, egg, cream. Candidates are from the same food group and used in at least 100 recipes.
