Ingredients
Directions
Butter the sides and bottom of a pudding dish.
Add a layer of bread crumbs to the bottom.
Layer sliced tomatoes on top, sprinkling with salt, pepper, bits of butter, and a little sugar.
Repeat layers until the dish is full, finishing with a top layer of tomato slices and butter bits.
Bake covered until cooked through, then uncover and brown quickly.
