What each ingredient does

Finely ground coffee
Provides the main coffee flavour and aroma that the water extracts.
Boiling water
Extracts soluble flavour compounds from the grounds as it passes through them.
Mocha coffee
Adds its own flavour to the blend, contributing to the final taste.
Java coffee
Adds its own flavour to the blend, contributing body and character to the final taste.

The step that matters

Pouring the boiling water gradually. Pouring slowly lets the water wet all the grounds evenly and extract flavour steadily. Pouring too fast can channel water past the grounds, leaving the brew weak and uneven.
