What each ingredient does

Loose tea leaves
Provide the flavor and aroma that the water extracts during steeping.
Water
Extracts flavor from the tea leaves and forms the body of the drink.

The step that matters

Pour all the required boiling water into the teapot at once. Adding all the water at once keeps the brewing temperature steady and the steeping time consistent, so the tea extracts evenly and does not turn bitter or weak.
