Rabbit Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Prepare the rabbit meat as you would for a game pie.

  2. Cut the hard-boiled eggs into quarters.

  3. Scatter the egg pieces throughout the pie filling.

  4. Cover the pie with puff pastry and cut a slit in the center.

  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for one hour, covering with paper if it browns too quickly.
