To Make Good Bread

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In the morning, prepare your sponge and warm the flour.

  2. In a large bread pan, make a well in the center of the flour and pour in the sponge.

  3. Add the salt and mix well, ensuring the dough isn't too stiff.

  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 20 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. Form the dough into a round mass and place it in a floured bread pan.

  6. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
