Filteeed Coffee
Ingredients
Directions
Make a sack from fine flannel, larger than the top of the coffee pot.
Stitch the side seam, leaving an inch and a half open at the top.
Bend a piece of stiff wire into a circle and insert it into a hem at the top of the sack.
Fill the sack with coffee and lower it into the coffee pot, spreading the wire ends apart.
Turn the top of the sack over the pot, ensuring it covers the 'nose' tightly.
Pour boiling water over the coffee, close the lid, and let it simmer for 15 to 30 minutes.
To serve, lift the sack off the nose but do not remove it from the pot.
