Strawberry-jam
Ingredients
Directions
Reject all decayed berries.
Crush the berries and sugar in a preserving kettle with a potato masher or wooden spoon.
Heat the mixture and boil for about 30 minutes, or until a little jam cooled on a saucer looks thick and clear.
Remove all scum as it rises.
Cool the jam and store it as directed in the recipe for strawberry preserves.
