Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cut the peppers open and remove the seeds.

  3. In a bowl, mix the chopped chicken, bread crumbs, onion, pepper, and coarse sea salt.

  4. Stuff the mixture into the peppers.

  5. Place the stuffed peppers in the oven and bake until heated through and browned.

Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
