Malted Baked Apple

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Remove the cores from the apples using a new clothes-pin.

  3. Fill the cavities with a mixture of nut butter diluted with sassafras tea and sweetened with malt.

  4. Bake in the oven until done, being careful not to overbake.
