Butternut Coffee

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Spread butternut kernels on a pie tin and bake until nicely browned, but not scorched.

  3. Let the kernels cool, then mash them into a meal using a cup or glass bottle.

  4. Use 1 tablespoon of the butternut meal for every 2 cups of coffee.
