Ingredients

Directions

The book says “a quick oven”. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps is the modern equivalent, not the book's own figure.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Line small patty pans with puff pastry.

  3. Chop the remnants of chicken or other meat finely.

  4. Season the meat with salt and pepper.

  5. Heat the meat in a little butter until warm.

  6. Fill the pastry shells with the meat mixture.

  7. Return the filled shells to the oven until slightly browned.
