Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Eggs
Set and thicken the custard as they cook, giving the cream body.
Milk
Provides the liquid base and creaminess for the cream.
Chocolate
Supplies the chocolate flavour and dark colour of the cream.

The step that matters

Pour the hot chocolate mixture into the egg and milk mixture, stirring well.. Adding hot liquid to eggs too quickly can scramble them. Stirring constantly while combining keeps the egg proteins dispersed so the cream stays smooth.
