Foe Crystallizing Grass

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Dissolve 1½ pounds of rock alum in 3 pints of boiling water and let it cool completely.

  2. In a wide-mouthed vessel, hang a few grasses at a time in the solution.

  3. Ensure the grasses are not too heavy, or the stems will not support them.

  4. You can reheat the alum solution to add more grasses if desired.

  5. For variety, add a little food coloring to the solution.
