Cottage Cheese

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour boiling water over the thick milk in a pan, stirring while you pour.

  2. Let the milk settle until it separates from the whey.

  3. Pour off most of the water and whey.

  4. If not sufficiently cooked, add more hot water.

  5. Draw the curd to the upper side, pressing out as much water as possible.

  6. Optionally, let it stand in cold water for a few moments.

  7. Squeeze the curd dry and work it fine by rolling it between your hands.

  8. Add salt and cream to taste.
