Preserving Autumn Leaves
Ingredients
Directions
Gather autumn leaves and place them between the pages of a magazine, adding a light weight until moisture is absorbed.
For larger leaves, use newspapers on a shelf in the same manner.
Dip the leaves into melted wax mixed with a few drops of turpentine, then lay them on newspapers to harden.
Ensure the wax is at the right temperature by testing with the first leaf; adjust as necessary.
Alternatively, iron each leaf with a medium-hot iron until all moisture is removed.
