Creamed Nuts

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Shell the nuts and remove the thick inner covering by soaking them in scalding water for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Rub off the skins with your fingers.

  3. Form the foundation cream into balls.

  4. Press the nut meats onto the sides of the balls or encase them in the center.

  5. For nut bars, stir whole or chopped nuts into the cream and pour into a lined shallow tin.

  6. When cold, lift out the paper and cut into bars.

  7. For coconut bars, stir in the grated coconut before the cream is fully worked, then mix until combined.
