Escalloped Corn

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cover the bottom of a baking dish with canned corn.

  3. Add a layer of bread crumbs, pepper, salt, and butter to taste.

  4. Add another layer of corn and cover it with more bread crumbs.

  5. Season again and add butter on top.

  6. Pour in enough milk to make the dish moist.

  7. Bake in the oven until heated through.
