What each ingredient does

Gooseberries
Provide the juice and fruit flavour that forms the base of the wine.
Brown sugar
Feeds the yeast during fermentation and adds sweetness and body to the finished wine.
Rainwater
Dilutes the juice to a drinkable strength and balances its acidity.
