Date Sauce
Ingredients
Directions
Boil the dates in enough water to cover them for 1 hour or until tender.
Sift the mixture through a colander, discarding any solids that do not pass through.
Stir the sauce thoroughly, adding more water if it is too thick, and boil again.
If the sauce is too sweet, add boiled and strained acid fruit before the final boil.
You can also use dried or canned fruits, or add their juices without straining.
