Cherry Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Remove the pits from the cherries using a sharp knife, saving all the juice.

  2. Grease a deep pie dish and line it with the puff pastry.

  3. Fill the pastry shell with the cherries and the juice.

  4. Cover with a thin crust, cutting slits for steam to escape.

  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) until golden brown.

  6. Let cool and serve cold.
