Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 quart of Graham flour, ¾ cup of yeast, 1 quart of warm water, and 1 cup of molasses to make a sponge.

  2. Cover and let it rise in a warm place overnight or for 6 to 8 hours.

  3. Mix the sponge with enough white flour to form a stiff dough.

  4. Let the dough rise again until doubled in size.

  5. Shape the dough into loaves and let them rise before baking.
