Macaroni and Spaghetti

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Do not wash the macaroni before boiling; if dusty, wipe it with a dry cloth.

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the macaroni.

  3. Boil the macaroni for 10 minutes or until just tender.

  4. Drain the macaroni and transfer it to cold water to remove excess starch.

  5. Heat the cooled macaroni in your preferred sauce, such as tomato, mushroom, or white sauce.

  6. For a baked dish, layer boiled macaroni with grated cheese and moisten with white sauce or a mixture of milk and butter.

  7. Top with bread crumbs if desired before baking.
