To Keep Peaches
Ingredients
Directions
Pare the peaches and remove the stones with a skewer, keeping them whole or cut in half.
Place the peaches in flat stone jars.
Seal the jars with a mixture of melted bees-wax and rosin.
Thicken the mixture with enough finely powdered brick-dust to achieve a sealing-wax consistency.
Spread the hot cement over the sealed jars.
