How to Cook Rice

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

  2. In a pot, add enough cold water to cover the rice and prevent burning.

  3. Cover the pot tightly and cook over moderate heat (350°F / 175°C).

  4. When the rice is nearly done, remove the cover to let excess moisture escape.
