Mutton Chops

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Lay the mutton chops in a pan and dredge with a little flour.

  3. Place the pan in the oven with the door half open and cook for about 15 minutes.

  4. Prepare a hot dish for serving.

  5. After cooking, dredge a little flour into the gravy.

  6. Add a few tablespoons of hot water, tomato ketchup, pepper, and salt to the gravy.

  7. Bring the gravy to a boil and pour it over the chops.
