Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Chop the meat or poultry and season to taste.

  2. In an earthen dish, layer the chopped meat with alternate layers of bread crumbs.

  3. Ensure the top layer is always bread crumbs.

  4. Pour enough gravy over the layers to moisten them.

  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until the crumbs are brown.
