Cheese Cakes

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Make puff paste as directed in the Pies section.

  2. Cut the paste into small rounds and bake at 400°F (200°C) until done.

  3. Once baked, split the rounds and fill them with lemon filling.

  4. For a better result, stack one thin paste on another with a large, flat cork in between before baking.

  5. After baking, remove the cork to create space for the filling.
